Meeting the caveman

Except for the Digimix, all of Fenix' drawings and paintings begin with a first line in pencil. Often they grow into complex pieces of art. But just as often no other media are needed. "In many cases a simple pencil is all I need for atmosphere, dark tones and high lights, for detailling." Fenix says it's a glorious feeling to have nothing more at hand than a pencil and a blank sheet of paper "and already seeing before my eye the story that is going to develop. That is when I know myself in the longest line of human history. Long before we were able to write stories, we drew and painted them on cave walls. I fondly embrace modern technological opportunities, but they just cannot beat being alone with pencil and paper".
